Our mission is to improve the lives of pregnant mothers, orphans, and the aged through humanitarian service. We work to alleviate suffering, restore dignity, and bring tangible hope to those who are most often forgotten — through health talks, relief materials, food distribution, scholarships, and compassionate community outreach.

Our Story

From Compassionate Beginnings to Wider Reach

Gonen Hope and Relief Foundation (GHRF) has been in existence for years, born out of a deep burden to alleviate suffering in our local communities. What began as small Acts of kindness — providing food, relief materials, and a helping hand to those in need — grew over time into a sustained outreach serving pregnant mothers, orphans, and the aged.

In October 2022, the Foundation was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for a wider coverage and scope. This formal registration allowed us to expand our outreaches, partner with more communities, and bring structured humanitarian service to those who need it most. Over the years, GHRF has given numerous scholarships, provided relief materials and food, and brought help to countless people across Plateau State and beyond.

From our 2022 outreach alone, we reached approximately 4,200 people with health talks, relief materials, food, and care. Today, supported by 20 dedicated volunteers, we continue to serve actively — running health education for pregnant mothers, distributing food and water to the aged, supporting orphans through school, and planting trees to engage our communities in environmental stewardship. Our work is far from finished; every life touched strengthens our resolve to do more.

Who We Serve

The People at the Heart of Our Work

Every program we run is shaped around three groups whom society too often overlooks. Their wellbeing is the measure of our success.

The Aged

We provide food, clean water, and relief materials to elderly members of our communities who have no one to care for them — restoring dignity and comfort in their later years.

Pregnant Mothers

We give health talks, maternal care education, and support to expectant mothers — ensuring safer pregnancies, healthier births, and stronger families from the very start.

Orphans & Children

Through scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and care, we stand with orphans and vulnerable children — giving them the chance to learn, grow, and dream again.
